Blue Unicorn

Hiya!  I've got a card for the Paper Players magical challenge.  There are so many fun unicorn images out there at the moment from classic to cute to chubby.  I went with this Concord & 9th unicorn - a more classic look.  Most of my past unicorn cards have involved a rainbow so I tried to get away from that this time and went ombre instead.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Bashful Blue, Pacific Point, Night of Navy) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (All from Unicorn Awesomeness) Concord & 9th
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black, Memento Tuxedo Black) Tsukineko, (Soft Sky) Stampin' Up
Markers:  (B00, B05, B39, C5) Copic
Glitter:  (Gold Wink of Stella) Zig

Button Flowers & Butterfly

I've got two cards to share today.  First up is for Inspired by All the Little Things.  I was doing some tidying in my craft room and found these ancient Sassafrass flower stickers.  I put them together with some die cut Paper Smooches stems and an Essentials by Ellen sentiment.  Quick and easy but colorful and fun.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Wild Wasabi, Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Sentiment from 12 Days Companion Greetings) Essentials by Ellen
Inks:  (VersaMark) Tsukineko
Embossing Powder:  (Opaque Bright White Super Fine) Wow
Dies:  (Stems from Dainty Flowers & Dainty Flowers 2) Paper Smooches
Stickers:  Sassafrass
Gems:  Recollections

Next up is for the Just Us Girls black and white stripes challenge.  I initially tried making white stripes on black cardstock using embossing paste but it all went horribly wrong so I went back to the drawing board.  I wanted broad stripes but only found skinny stripes in my patterned paper collection.  I finally just trimmed pieces of black and white cardstock and die cut them with a stitched square to create the little panel.  The PTI butterfly is cut from hot pink DCWV glitter paper.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Basic Grey, Basic Black) Stampin' Up, (Pink glitter) DCWV
Stamps:  (Sentiment from Think Big Favourites 5)) Papertrey Ink
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko
Dies:  (Butterfly) Papertrey Ink, (Stitched square) Lil' Inker Designs
Gems:  (Large gem) Doodlebug, (Small gems) Recollections

CASology #296

Welcome to Week 296 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

Mother's Day and Father's Day always sneak up on me so this is a great prompt to get me going on these categories of cards.  Despite trying to be more original every year I still end up with flowers on the majority of my Mother's Day cards.  I guess if it ain't broke...

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!

Hello hello!

Mushroom & Dreams

Hi there!

I've got a couple of challenge cards to share today.  First up is for Freshly Made Sketches.  I finally broke out these Essentials by Ellen stamps and did some layered stamping to get some shading on the mushroom.  The sentiment is hard to read but it's a worthy pun - Thank you so mush!  Love it!  The paper is ancient Basic Grey paper and I added a few little Crystal Drops as accents.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy) Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper:  (Lucky 12x12) Basic Grey
Stamps:  (All from Snailed It) Essentials by Ellen
Inks:  (VersaMark, VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukineko, (Blush, Rouge, Crimson, Velvet, Sand Dune, Rocky Shore, Mocha) Altenew
Die:  (Zig Zag Stitched Oval) My Favourite Things
Glitter:  (Nuvo Ebony Crystal Drops) Tonic
Glitter:  (Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss) Tonic

Next is a card inspired by Tracey's gorgeous design at Muse.  The flower and leaves are from the same EBE set as above and I paired them with a Neat & Tangled sentiment.  I paper pieced the banner part of the sentiment to make it pop a bit more.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Rose Red) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Flower & leaves from Snailed It) Essential by Ellen, (Sentiment from Dreams) Neat & Tangled
Inks:  (VersaFine) Tsukineko, (Pink Diamond, Pinkalicious, Rubellite, Bamboo, Parrot, Olive) Altenew

CASology #295

Welcome to Week 295 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

Believing in yourself can sometimes be a tall order so it's always nice to get a little encouragement now and then.  This sentiment is from a graduation set from Lil' Inker but it can be used for general confidence boosting too.  The sentiment itself is a work of art and really could stand on it's own but I thought a soaring bird just gave it a little extra something.

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!
